Nathan Love
(2022)
Character Designer on “From the D 2 the LBC” music video for Eminem ft. Snoop Dogg.
The music video featured several animation segments each in their own distinct style. I was brought on to spearhead the design work (character design, style frames etc.) for the pushed cartoony segment of the music video. I was managing a freelancer in addition to myself on the project.

(2021 - 2022)
Art Director on Fairview for Comedy Central
Fairview was a 22 minute adult comedy series which ran after South Park on Comedy Central. As Art Director I worked to improve upon the appeal of the pilot designs, establish workflows, a consistent standard of quality and most importantly a positive and supportive culture within the Art Department - all while holding to a very tight schedule. In order to maintain said schedule I worked closely with our Supervising Director and department leads to oversee the creation of tools and style guides
(2021)
Character Design Lead on Washingtonia - a feature length animated political satire for Comedy Central. As Character Design Lead I oversaw the creation and consistency of our expansive library of characters. I created style guides, gave out and reviewed assignments, created script breakdowns and scheduling documents to help keep the show on schedule. The Character Design team on Washingtonia fluctuated in size throughout the production reaching at it’s peak as many as 22 artists.
(2017-2021)
Character Design Lead on the Stephen Colbert produced Our Cartoon President on Showtime.
I was Character Design Lead on all 3 seasons of Our Cartoon President - coming in at a total of 45 episodes. As lead I designed a good chunk of our central cast, oversaw the design of the rest - giving out and doing quality control on assignments, as well as creating style guides for both the Character Design and Animation departments to follow to keep everything in line. It was also my responsibility to onboard new artists - many of our hires came from an illustration background and needed to be taught not just our particular pipeline workflows but a great deal of technical photoshop knowledge. Additionally I created episode design breakdowns based off of scripts to assess the workload as it related to the schedule and worked with the Animation Directors and Writers to keep episodes within the scope of our resources.
